Diagnostics

Healthcare providers can use digital versions of general lists of complaints or specialist tests to support diagnostics. The scores are calculated automatically, and the healthcare provider can often choose from various norm groups. This provides an instant indication of how the client scores in relation to this norm group. The results of the questionnaires are presented in various ways, including scores and graphics. These are always the raw scores, and, depending on the type of available psychometric data, also include standardised values such as percentile ranks, T-values or 5-point scales. This information is displayed graphically and easy to interpret.

Routine Outcome Monitoring

The Embloom Platform offers various questionnaires that can be used for Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROM). If measurements are taken repeatedly, the recorded change, as well as a grading of the change (based on the Reliable Change Index), are shown e.g. “recovery” or “relapse”. This information is displayed graphically and easy to interpret.

Psychoeducation

People with psychological problems often experience a considerable amount of stress. This makes it difficult for them to absorb information. Clients often forget information they are told in the consultation room. Easy-to-read texts and high-quality video material have been developed by Embloom for the most common problems and disorders.

We developed the psychoeducational content in collaboration with renowned publishers and experts. Using the psychoeducation facilities on the platform, clients and relatives can obtain information in a trusted environment. They can revisit the information as often as they need, whenever they want. This creates space for deepening in the consultation room.

Exercises

The use of exercises is an important element of most treatment protocols. Embloom gives healthcare providers access to key exercises from various schools of therapy. These include exercises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Oriented Therapy, and Positive Psychology. Wherever possible, we have used video and audio clips to increase accessibility for clients.

Journals

Digital journals offer clients insight into their daily routines. They can be used to record thoughts and behaviour in an organized manner and learn from the gained insights. Changes are recorded graphically and can be shared with the healthcare provider.

The client can give the healthcare provider permission to view the journal, so that they have a better idea of how the client is doing and which factors are affecting them. A journal offers insights at a given moment rather than retrospectively over a particular period.

Modules and treatment programmes

Through the use of modules and treatment programmes, treatments and treatment components can be offered to clients, largely without the involvement of the healthcare provider. Each module consists of a balanced combination of information, exercises and videos. The modules are divided into submodules to offer optimal flexibility. Healthcare providers can use the full module or customize the module on the specific needs and skills of the client. Enabling clients the most benefit from their online intervention.

A treatment programme consists of several modules, journals and tests, which are made available automatically based on predefined conditions, for a predefined period of time. Depending on the treatment programme, clients can complete these elements either on their own or accompanied by a healthcare provider.

Text-to-speech function

To assist people with literacy difficulties, people with reading disabilities or others who prefer to listen rather than read, Embloom uses a text-to-speech tool. This feature is available for all questionnaires and converts text into speech at the touch of a button. The question on screen is read aloud, and a marker indicates where you are in the text.

The answer options are also read aloud, including any visual markers. The client can click on an answer option at any time, after which they will proceed to the next question.
