ApplicationSystemizing is defined as the drive to analyse, understand, predict, control and construct rule-based systems. High scores on SQ are typically related to ASC traits.
CompositionThe SQ Adolescent contains 55 statements with four answer options, varying from ‘definitely agree’ to ‘definitely disagree’
ScoringScores are calculated by adding up items. Higher scores indicate more symptoms. Scores can range between 0-110. Higher scores indicate higher tendency to systemize.
Psychometric properties
GeneralResearch has shown a (slight) negative correlation with empathy quotient.
